Delete your data
Updated September 14, 2026
Artery ("Artery," "we," "us") is a music-industry platform for independent artists and their managers, available at arteryhq.com. This page explains how to remove the information Artery holds about you, including anything we hold because you connected a Facebook or Instagram account.
Your deletion request
Checking your deletion request…
Reference:
Quote that reference when contacting privacy@arteryhq.com. Status receipts are available for 90 days.
There are three separate things you might want, and they are not the same:
- Stop Artery accessing your Meta accounts — disconnecting. Section 1.
- Delete the Meta data Artery has kept — your archived tagged stories and related records. Section 2.
- Delete your whole Artery account — everything, including the above. Section 3.
1. Stop Artery accessing Facebook and Instagram
You can do this in either place:
When the disconnect completes:
- Your Facebook access token and Page access token are deleted.
- Your connection record is removed, including the saved name, Page, Instagram and ad-account selections, and granted-permission list. A minimal Facebook-to-Artery identifier mapping is kept while data remains so a later deletion request can find it.
- When you disconnect in Artery, we ask Meta to revoke the permission grant. If that request fails, local credentials are still removed; you can also remove Artery in Facebook settings.
- We ask Meta to cancel the Page webhook subscription. Requests already in transit may still arrive.
- Artery stops using the disconnected account’s credentials to collect new data. Notifications or transfers already in progress may still arrive and are handled through our processing and cleanup routines.
Disconnecting does not delete the tagged stories Artery has already archived for you. The archive supports your Social Listening history. It is retained while your Artery account exists and it remains necessary and permitted for that purpose, unless you request deletion earlier. Retention is also subject to Meta's requirements and content-owner requests. While you are disconnected the archive is not visible in the app; it reappears if you reconnect.
What this never touches. Your posts, stories and Page on Facebook and Instagram are yours and are unaffected. Ads you created through Artery are real campaigns in your own Meta ad account; they keep running and are managed or deleted in Meta Ads Manager, not here.
2. Delete the Meta data Artery has kept
This is the request that erases the archive. It covers:
- Every archived tagged story we hold for you — the record and the stored image or video file, including stories posted by other people that tagged you.
- Every stored webhook delivery attributed to your account.
You can do this yourself, in any of these ways:
- In Artery — open Settings › Connections and choose Delete Meta data, listed under Meta.
- On Facebook — remove Artery and choose to delete your data when Facebook offers it. This works whether or not you have already disconnected in Artery.
- By email — write to privacy@arteryhq.com from the address on your Artery account.
These routes request deletion of the same stored data. Deletion is permanent. Facebook requests also stop the matching connection. If a request concerns an older Facebook identity that cannot safely be separated from a newer connection, the status page explains that manual review is needed; contact privacy@arteryhq.com to verify ownership. A failed or unresolved request is never presented as completed.
The in-app Delete Meta data control and disconnecting are independent. You do not have to disconnect first, and disconnecting first does not prevent it — the control stays available either way. If you delete your stored data while Meta is still connected, the connection keeps working and Artery starts saving again from your next tagged story onward.
3. Delete your entire Artery account
Deleting your Artery account removes your profile and the data and files owned by your account or managed workspaces, including the stored Meta data described above. Work owned by another artist or manager is not deleted merely because you contributed to it. Completed deletion cannot be undone; limited retention is explained in section 4.
- In Artery — open Settings and use Delete account. You will be asked for your password to confirm.
- By email — write to privacy@arteryhq.com from the address on your account. We will verify your identity, respond promptly, and handle the request within the time limits required by applicable law. We will explain any additional verification or limits affecting the request.
This removes your profile and login, your uploaded files, and your notes, tasks, calendar events, projects, contracts, royalty and revenue records, catalogue, chat threads, share links and connected-account records. If you are a manager, records in managed workspaces you own are included. Independently owned artist accounts and their work are not deleted merely because they were connected to you.
If you signed in with Google and have never set a password, use the email route.
Milestone history. In Artist Tracker, open View history beside Recent Milestones, choose Delete on an entry and confirm. This removes the saved content from your account. A minimal fingerprint prevents it returning during refresh; account deletion removes the fingerprint. This does not delete another account's copy or change the original provider's records.
4. What is kept briefly, and why
We would rather say this plainly than leave it for you to discover.
- Ad spend guard. Artery keeps a counter of how many ads have been launched on an ad account, so nobody can spend past the daily limit by disconnecting and reconnecting. It holds an ad account identifier and a count. Records become eligible for removal after two days and are removed when cleanup runs; they may remain longer if cleanup is delayed.
- Deletion receipts. A random reference, status and timestamps support deletion follow-up. They contain no Facebook or Artery account identifier. Status is available for 90 days; expired records are removed during subsequent receipt requests.
- Release upload cleanup. File cleanup checkpoints remain until the scheduled worker can remove uploads after their existing upload links expire. Failed cleanup stays queued for retry.
- Task PDFs and submission artwork. Cleanup records can remain while upload permissions expire or file removal needs retry. Later authorized file requests retry cleanup, including upload records left by deleted accounts. Files belonging to another artist are retained with that artist.
- Backups. Copies of deleted data may remain in routine infrastructure backups for a short time before those backups cycle out.
- Email. Our email provider retains the content of sent email for approximately 30 days.
- Meta delivery records. These temporary records process incoming Meta events; cleaning them up does not remove saved stories, stats or milestone history. Processed records become eligible for cleanup 30 days after processing and are removed when cleanup runs. Unresolved notifications or cleanup failures may extend retention. If a notification cannot be linked automatically to your account, contact privacy@arteryhq.com; we will verify your request, investigate which records relate to you and explain any limits on locating or deleting them.
5. Questions
Email privacy@arteryhq.com and a person will answer. If you want a copy of your data before deleting it, ask and we will send it.
